FAQs

  • Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes and are $175 per session. Couples/family sessions are typically 60 minutes and are $200 per session. I offer some sliding scale spots. Payment is due at time of service and I am able to accept cash, check, major credit cards, and HSA cards as methods of payment.

Under the No Surprises Act, you may request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • I am in-network with Quest Behavioral Health. I am currently an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. I am happy to provide you with a “superbill” or itemized list of sessions for you to submit to your insurance company if you are eligible for out-of-network reimbursement or to go towards your deductible. Some insurance companies offer as much as 50-80% reimbursement if you submit a claim for an out-of-network therapy provider, depending on the plan that you have. However, it is important to call your insurance company to clarify your out-of-network mental health benefits.

  • The best bet is to call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following questions:

Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage?

What is my out-of-network deductible? How much of my deductible has been met?

What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

What is the process for submitting claims?

  • I am in-person in Center City, Philadelphia on Wednesdays. Please let me know if you are interested in an in-person appointment.

  • Please provide 48 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment. I will do my best to reschedule your session for another day that same week when special circumstances arise. Late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged the full session fee.

  • Individual sessions are 50 minutes and couples/family sessions are 60 minutes, typically. For the first several months of treatment, I ask that we meet weekly in order to build momentum together and to get to know each other. If we’re starting to meet your goals, we might reduce our frequency of meeting to every other week.

  • It depends! Some people have more short-term stressors that they need to cope with and may be in therapy for 4 to 6 months. Others may benefit from longer term work for a year or more. Regardless, I welcome open communication around how therapy is going for you and what makes the most sense for your individual needs.

  • You’ll receive a link to log in to a HIPAA compliant platform and meet with me by video. Online therapy works best when you’re able to secure a private and quiet location to talk.
